SMOKE WATCH: When Glyn and Susan Ward of Buena Park heard that Dr. Art Ulene would be talking about quitting smoking on ABC TV’s “Home” show, they wrote and asked whether they could have a transcript after the program aired. Instead, the producers talked the Wards, who are heavy smokers, into being the show’s test case. . . . A preview aired on Channel 7 Thursday. Their nine-day, stop-smoking plan begins today, with “Home” cameras following them around to see whether they stick to it.
