A man accused of impersonating a sheriff’s deputy before the start of the Rose Parade pleaded innocent Friday to four felony charges and two misdemeanors in Pasadena Municipal Court.

Leymoine Jacques Bolton, 26, was arraigned on charges of impersonating a peace officer and possession of a loaded firearm, both misdemeanors. He also pleaded innocent to felony charges of possession of a gun by an ex-convict, possession of a billy club, grand theft auto and joy riding.

Bolton was arrested when he reported to a sheriff’s command post before the parade and tried to relieve officers on duty, authorities said. After he provided officers with an inactive identification number, Bolton was taken into custody. He was carrying a loaded pistol at the time of his arrest, police said.
