Campaign Chasing AT&T; and Sprint Customers: In a new advertising campaign, MCI is asking consumers to temporarily stop using their old AT&T; or Sprint calling cards and receive up to four free hours of long-distance phone calls on MCI. For each rival phone card that customers promise to put away, they will receive one free hour of MCI phone time. The campaign marks the first time MCI has positioned itself not only against AT&T; but also against Sprint. “We simply wanted to open it up to as many customers as possible,” said an MCI spokeswoman. “This is really aimed at getting more customers from AT&T.;”
