Elvis Gets His Licks: Here comes . . . the Elvis Presley Stamp. But the question is, will it show a thin or a portly Elvis? Announcing the commemorative issue Tuesday night on Larry King’s radio show, retiring Postmaster General Anthony M. Frank said, “We’ll have a contest as to which Elvis we should have. We’ll have several designs on display at Post Offices and let the people vote.” Presley’s stamp is due in 1993 as part of a series honoring rock ‘n’ roll, musical comedy, jazz, country and traditional music. A Buddy Holly stamp also is planned, Frank said.
