The magazine in the past few months has shown a lot of interest in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. It’s great reading at a time when it has been difficult to find good, timely information about the area in any depth. Especially good was the article on Prague politics by Nora Gallagher (“Witch Hunt in Prague,” Sept. 29). It was a complicated topic that she made clear. In reflecting on the murkey waters of Prague politics, one can’t help but reflect on American political morality. Articles such as this help inform us of our place in the changing world.
