Coincidences Turn Deadly for 2 Youths
TAIPEI, Taiwan —
Two youths born on the same day in the same city were killed in a traffic accident while celebrating their first meeting, authorities said Friday.
Police in Taitung, 150 miles southeast of Taipei, said Lee Hsi Lung and Lai Yun Kun, both born in Taitung on June 25, 1973, died when their car smashed into the rear of a truck Thursday. Three other people in the car were seriously injured.
Police said Lee and Lai were introduced to each other earlier Thursday at a party arranged by mutual friends.
