DISCOUNT RUN: Anaheim Mayor Fred Hunter, who’s raised close to $600,000 for city campaigns since 1984, says he may try something different in his reelection bid this fall: Spend no money. . . . “I’m thinking about that, I really am,” says the two-term mayor. “Just let it all fly and see what happens. No signs, no mailers, no nothing.” Responds one likely opponent, Councilman Tom Daly: “Fred’s a populist. He says what he thinks people want to hear. But saying and doing it are two different things. We’ll see.”
