Agnelli Refuses to Raise Perrier Bid: Italian financier Umberto Agnelli said his family, which reportedly owns nearly 50% of France’s Source Perrier, will not make a counter-bid for the mineral-water company in response to Nestle’s takeover bid. Agnelli added that the family expects to continue to control Source Perrier. Nestle, the Swiss food giant, offered $2.5 billion Monday for all of Perrier. Agnelli has a minority stake that some reports said has reached 49%. Perrier businesses in the United States include Poland Spring and Arrowhead water.
