San Diego
Felony assault charges were dismissed Wednesday against two suspects charged with hitting a man with a baseball bat in Hillcrest.
The victim did not show up for the preliminary hearing of George Myrick, 27, and Michael Salisbury, also 27, and San Diego Municipal Judge John Thompson dismissed the case. Both men were arrested Jan. 6 as suspects in the Nov. 6 attack at 6th and University avenues by a special police task force assigned to the area.
Deputy Dist. Atty. David Hendren said “we may very well” refile the case if the victim is found.
