GRAND TOUR: Grand jury duty is spicier these days now that they handle more high-profile criminal indictments. But court officials are still sounding almost desperate for volunteers. Judge John J. Ryan has put out the call for people “from all walks of life” to become the next 19 grand jurors, who will take over in July. . . . “You don’t have to be a college graduate; you just have to be intelligent and have an interest in civic duty,” Ryan says. The county is holding a seminar Feb. 5 to explain to anyone interested how it works.
