GM Unit to Provide Data Services for Insurer: General Motors Corp.’s Electronic Data Systems unit said it signed an $800-million, 10-year agreement to provide information technology services to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Under the contract, EDS will supply and operate all of the computer systems needed to process claims, membership records, customer inquiries and administrative tasks.
