Readers Express Ire in Pollard Case

Pollard’s case is a blot on the American justice system for it shows how cruel and vindictive our government can be, and how it can stretch the law to fit its desires.

Pollard testified freely and openly in exchange for leniency for his wife and himself. Had he remained silent and refused to testify against himself, he’d be a free man today for their were no witnesses and there was a reluctance to hold a public trial that might expose our government’s duplicity in withholding information that it had promised to share.
