SANTA ANA : College District Trustee Replaced
The Rancho Santiago Community College District board has appointed Orange resident Mara Brandman to replace trustee John Dowden, who resigned Dec. 30.
The board unanimously chose Brandman from 18 candidates after four hours of interviews Thursday. She will be sworn in at the district board meeting tonight at 6 and will serve the remainder of Dowden’s term, which runs until November. Dowden was a founding member of the board and served since 1971.
