Outbreak of Meningitis Takes 100 Lives in Uganda

KAMPALA, Uganda —
A meningitis outbreak in northern Uganda has killed 100 people in the past month, officials said Sunday. Social events have been banned to reduce the risk of infection, and 20,000 doses of vaccine have been sent to the area, they said.
