Printer Pact: C-Tech Electronics Inc. in Irvine said it has signed a multimillion-dollar contract with Hall-Mark Electronics Corp. to provide the Dallas-based industrial products distributor with its C. Itoh ProWriter families of laser printers and dot-matrix computer printers.

Marc Liebersman, C-Tech vice president of sales and marketing, said Monday that the contract is open-ended but could be worth $5 million to $20 million in sales to C-Tech, which competes with computer printer makers such as Hewlett-Packard Co.

C-Tech is a 3-year-old joint venture of two Japanese electronics firms, C. Itoh & Co. and Tokyo Electric Co. Ltd. The contract is one of the largest ever for C-Tech, which does not disclose revenues or earnings, Liebersman said.
