Nation IN BRIEF : WISCONSIN : Jury Selection Starts in Dahmer Trial
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Attorneys began selecting a panel of jurors who will determine if confessed serial killer Jeffrey L. Dahmer was sane when he killed 15 young males he had lured to his home for sex. The trial in Milwaukee will determine whether Dahmer will be sent to prison or to a mental hospital. The 12 jurors and two alternates are expected to be chosen this week. Of the 70 questioned, 25 said they could not serve on a jury that will be sequestered for an expected three-week trial.
