Like the readers who wrote in about Jeff Smith, we too have become disenchanted. Ever since he started his series on the “Ancient Immigrant Ancestors,” he does more proselytizing than cooking. In fact, he talks so much there is little time left for cooking. The best he can do is bring out a dozen already-prepared dishes, not giving us any idea of what goes into them or the techniques used.

We think this “egotistical bag of wind” should retreat into his claustrophobic kitchen and make way for a chef with more colorful and interesting presentations.
