Glendale : ‘Auto Row’ Action Delayed

Share

The Planning Commission delayed action Monday on a plan to control growth of the city’s “auto row” along South Brand Boulevard while protecting adjoining residential neighborhoods.

The plan would allow buildings up to six stories high along the boulevard, where development is restricted to three stories. The higher density development could reduce the amount of land needed by dealers for expansion and curtail encroachment into residential areas, officials said.

A public hearing will continue Feb. 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.
