Mahony on Childbearing

Nice try, Cardinal Mahony, but please remember that you are in the 1990s when today’s woman is expected to do it all. The world you speak of is reminiscent of the 1950s with some politically correct corporate day care tossed in. The real world demands superwomen to fill your holes in society and therefore--in this day--real women must make well-thought-out and life-determining choices. Abortion has to be one of these choices. It’s a woman’s life, not a man’s, and your belief that society is wrong in denying a female’s desire for motherhood is sadly of a world past.
