Condoms at High Schools

Share

The condom distribution controversy reminds me of the storm over sex education in schools several years ago. Those parents who raised the loudest objections at that time were, in my experience, the ones whose children were among the least informed.

Lives were not at risk then. People objecting to this distribution seem to be willing to jeopardize their own children as well as those of others. Since when is a condom a license to have sex, anyway?

Prevention of AIDS is the primary objective here, but contraception is certainly a worthwhile dividend.
