Economic Woes and Bashing

Share

Your editorial “Facts and Emotions: The Week That Was” (Jan. 25) is the most sensible article I’ve read on the most recent fad our state of the economy has produced.

Japan-bashing and America-bashing are, I suppose, necessary for both sides to vent their frustrations. However, as civilized intelligent people there comes a time when it’s incumbent upon us to end all this childishness and seriously and honestly face all the facts. Then set about to correct our past mistakes and create a better and more workable future. Since our world is and has been shrinking more and more, what’s wrong with accepting partnership with Japan and Asia? We have a lot to learn from them and they from us; but hopefully not in the realm of negativism.
