Nintendo Chief Sells Stock for Mariner Bid: The president of Japanese video game giant Nintendo has sold part of his stock in the company for $47.6 million to raise funds to buy the Seattle Mariners baseball team, the company said. In January, Nintendo joined a group of Seattle business executives in a $100-million bid for the financially troubled club. If the bid succeeds, the family of Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi will own 60% of the team.
