Before there was a Karate Kid, there was . . . Herschel Walker?
The former Georgia All-American, Heisman Trophy winner and Minnesota Viking who is the brakeman on U.S. two-man and four-man bobsleds, said he used to compete in karate tournaments the Sundays after Saturday football games at Georgia.
And Walker said he regards bobsled as just another part of his multifaceted athletic career.
“People talk about Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders . . . I’ve been doing that for years,” he said. “(Bobsled) is one more thing I can add to my repertoire.”
