Euro Disney Staffing on Track: The European company controlled by the Walt Disney Co. that is building the new Euro Disneyland theme park outside of Paris has told its shareholders that it has hired nearly all the people needed to staff the theme park. Euro Disney Chairman Robert Fitzpatrick announced at the annual meeting of shareholders Thursday that 11,000 of the 12,000 people needed have been hired and that construction on the park is right on schedule for an April 12 opening. French news reports indicated that company rules governing employee dress and conduct have kept away job applicants. Euro Disney has denied it was having problems in hiring. The subsidiary, Euro Disney SCA, is 49% owned by Disney, which also retains management control. The remaining 51% is held by investors.
