Anthony Astrachan; Wrote on Male Reaction to Feminism

Anthony Astrachan, 59, a journalist and author of “How Men Feel,” a best-selling account of male reaction to the feminist movement. Astrachan worked for the Washington Post from 1965 to 1974, covering Africa, the Soviet Union and the United Nations. “How Men Feel” was published in 1985. For it he conducted 400 interviews over nine years asking men about their attitudes toward women and how they felt about the evolving changes in work and family roles. In New York City on Monday of a heart attack.
