Dixie Splash Wins in Oaklawn Mud

Dixie Splash waded through the mud to grab the lead at midstretch en route to a 4 1/2-length victory in Friday’s $35,000 featured allowance at Oaklawn.

Pat Day rode the winner, who paid $4.00, $2.60 and $2.80. Dixie Splash finished the 1 1/16 miles in 1:46 3/5.

Blissful Union, with Don Howard aboard, returned $2.80 and $2.80. Barbara Sue, another 2 1/2 lengths back under Garrett Gomez, paid $3.80 to show.
