Double world sprint champion Katrin Krabbe, Germany’s top medal hope in the Summer Olympics, said she and two star teammates would go to court to fight their four-year suspensions for cheating on drug tests.

The German Athletics Federation suspended Krabbe, 22, Silke Moeller, 27, and Grit Breuer, 20, for four years for manipulating urine samples during a random drug test at a training camp in South Africa last month.

Thomas Springstein, who coaches Krabbe and Breuer, also was suspended.

Krabbe won gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters at the 1991 world championships in Tokyo. Breuer took silver in the 400 meters. Moeller is the 1987 world sprint title holder.
