Veterans

I am beginning to seriously wonder whether some great mental malady afflicts our government. Instead of drumming highly decorated Persian Gulf War veterans out of the Marine Corps, the Pentagon should make those cuts through normal attrition and by freezing the hiring of new recruits.
Having put their lives on the line in combat, these veterans deserve much better treatment from our government than they are getting. We need their experience and skills in the military, not in the ranks of our nation’s unemployed.
