CLIFFHANGER: Nine years ago, director Steven Spielberg purchased the film rights to Australian author Thomas Keneally’s novel “Schindler’s List.” Four writers then tried to make a movie from the book, about a Nazi businessman who saved 1,300 Jewish workers from concentration camps. . . . Keneally, now a UCI professor (E1), says that Spielberg just returned from a location-scouting trip to Poland and that filming may begin next year. . . . Keneally says he thinks the movie “is finally going to be made.”
