Free Speech Flap at Occidental

In response to “Free Speech or Vulgarity?” March 1:

It wasn’t the word that Tim Usher used, it was the hostility prompting it. Occidental College needs to deal with the way men react to the word “no.” Usher couldn’t respond with mature dignity and understanding of safety measures. His immaturity and his hostility are the reasons for the suspension--not the language he used.

I propose a class for men like Tim Usher in how to change their angry feelings into peaceful, mature behavior toward women.
