Two South Carolina football players have been arrested in separate incidents and one of them faces concealed weapon charges that could result in a five-year sentence.
Strong safety Tony Watkins, 20, was arrested last Thursday in a dorm lobby and was found to be carrying a handgun.
Cornerback Toby Cates, 20, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after a fight at a dorm. If convicted of the misdemeanor, Cates could be sentenced to 30 days in jail or fined $200.
