Associated Press

The new space shuttle Endeavour made its first trip to the launch pad Friday in a milestone that NASA crews had been working toward for nearly a year.

"You don't have to wear one of these badges to be very proud of what you see going out there," said John Talone, who is in charge of getting Endeavour ready for flight. "It's something everybody ought to be proud of."
