2 Peru Sailors Killed in Guerrilla Ambush

LIMA, Peru —
Maoist guerrillas ambushed a navy jeep Friday, killing two sailors and seriously wounding a third in an apparent increase in their attacks against members of Peru’s security forces, police said.
Police and navy troops threw up a ring of security in Lima’s port of Callao after 10 guerrillas opened fire on the navy vehicle with machine guns at a busy intersection.
