Alpha Microsystems Inc.: The business computer company’s chief financial officer, David A. Young, has resigned to pursue personal interests, the company said Tuesday.

Young had been the firm’s CFO for 21 months. Doug Tullio, president, said a search is under way for a replacement for Young.

Young declined to comment on the reason for his resignation. When Young joined the company in the spring of 1990, Alpha Micro was struggling with layoffs and an aging product line.
