Dressed-Up Pancakes

Share

Thursday is my favorite day. I call it “food day.”

Since you featured pancakes this past week, I was surprised that you didn’t mention “cigars” or “sweaters.” Perhaps these are familiar just to my mother’s family.

“Cigars” are freshly made pancakes covered with butter and brown sugar; then rolled-up and “smoked/eaten” by laughing children.

The “sweater” is the pancake on the bottom of the stack. One never eats that; it’s to keep the others warm.
