Veteran Jeff Olson and Canadian Kate Pace won the men’s and women’s downhills that concluded the U.S. Alpine Ski Championships in Winter Park, Colo.
Olson, of Bozeman, Mont., beat defending champion AJ Kitt in the men’s event for his third national downhill title. Pace, who suffered a broken ankle just before Christmas, defeated Olympic silver medalist Hilary Lindh.
