Walnut : Information on Academies

Information on requirements for admission to U.S. Air Force, Merchant Marine, Naval and Military academies will be presented at a meeting sponsored by Rep. David Dreier (R-La Verne) at 8 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Steve McCullough of Claremont, who was nominated by Dreier to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and is expected to graduate in May, will be among the speakers.

The event is designed for parents and men and women 17 to 21 years of age who will have graduated from high school by July of next year and live in the 33rd Congressional District.
