Courts Wrong in Case of Ill Baby

Share

The United States’ legal system often does more harm than good. This is exactly the case concerning an infant born without a brain to a Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., couple. The couple wished to donate their daughter’s healthy organs to other children in need. However, the courts believed that the child should remain alive until her heart stops.

The courts had no right to interfere with this couple’s lives. It is their personal decision and should not be hampered by the courts and their long, drawn-out legal procedures.

The parents should have been allowed to decide the future of their child, who was not expected to live very long. The decision of life should be a personal decision, not a legal one.
