Thatcher and Feminism

Share

In response to “Please Leave Mrs. Thatcher Out of It,” by Ellen Snortland, Commentary, March 25:

Snortland’s assertion that it’s important to have compassion for women who have had to embody traditional male values in order to make way for the rest of us is asinine. Women do not embody traditional male values because they have to. They do it because they believe in those values. They are not just traditional male values, they are traditional female values.

I am sick and tired of feminists telling me that I am powerless. We raise those white males who discriminate against us and sexually harass us. When are we going to stop blaming someone else for our failures? It’s time to start teaching our sons and daughters to take responsibility for their actions and their futures. Only then will we be equal and respect and enjoy the difference between men and women.
