Top Ford Executives Take Pay Cut in 1991: Ford Motor Co.’s five top executives, including Chairman Harold Poling, accepted a smaller cash compensation package from the No. 2 auto maker in 1991, a year in which losses totaled $2.3 billion. Ford also said it maintained a second-quarter dividend of 40 cents. A proxy statement said Poling’s compensation fell 6.6% to $1,140,847 from $1,221,339 in 1990 and that he did not receive any cash bonuses or stock distributions. President Philip Benton Jr.’s 1991 cash compensation fell to $752,452 from $788,392.
