Bill Brennan, 71, radio and television producer who worked on the late Mary Martin’s PBS series “Over Easy.” A native of Iowa, Brennan was educated at USC and began his career in Hollywood with a 15-year stint at CBS. He worked as network sales manager, program manager of KNXT, and as contract producer for the network. He was instrumental in helping to bring his boyhood friend Johnny Carson to television. Brennan moved to San Francisco and worked for the San Francisco Civic Light Opera from 1976 until its demise in 1981, renovating and managing the Orpheum Theatre. On Monday in Marin of cancer.
