A series of discussions about alcoholism are scheduled at locations throughout Ventura County this month in observance of Alcohol Awareness Month.

One in every 10 Ventura County residents has a problem with alcohol, county officials estimate.

During the month, the county’s Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs will host the series of evening talks at the department’s centers in the county.
