From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi agreed, with reservations, to accept the U.N. demand that two bombing suspects be turned over to the West for trial, a spokesman for Egypt’s president said. Kadafi’s conditional acceptance was reported after he and President Hosni Mubarak met in Tripoli, Libya, to discuss the crisis. The U.N. resolution calls for international sanctions against Libya to begin Wednesday, unless Libya surrenders the men wanted in the sabotage of Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland in 1988.
