OVERLAND PARK, Kan. —
A violent thunderstorm packing baseball-size hail blew out the windows of several hundred cars and shattered glass at a number of suburban Kansas City shopping centers. The storm Saturday caused millions of dollars in damage, authorities said.
Employees at an auto dealership in south Kansas City, Mo., said that nearly all the new cars, valued at $3 million, were destroyed.
No injuries were reported from the storm, which passed in less than 20 minutes.
