Micropolis Profit Drops 55% in 1st Quarter

Micropolis Corp. in Chatsworth reported a 55% plunge in profits on a 5% drop in revenue in its fiscal first quarter that ended March 27. The struggling maker of computer data-storage products said its first-quarter net income was $2.76 million, down from $6.13 million a year earlier.

Its revenue fell to $98.3 million from $103.6 million.
