IRS Offers Chicagoans a Flood of Compassion

WASHINGTON —
Those affected by Monday’s flood in Chicago got a break from Uncle Sam on Tuesday--an extra week to file their taxes.
The relief will apply to taxpayers directly affected by the flooding or those whose tax preparers were affected.
A 20-square-block area was without power after the flood. Officials said water from the Chicago River spilled into a tunnel.
