WARNER CENTER : Companies Join in Paper Recycling

Share

Fifteen of Warner Center’s largest companies have announced a joint recycling program intended to save 3,000 tons of paper each year.

The arrangement includes a financial incentive that defrays the costs of recycling for members of the Warner Center Assn.

Weyerhaeuser Co. will buy recyclable paper from association members at a higher price.

In addition, the 15 companies will begin buying more recycled paper from Royal Supply at a reduced rate.

“We’re creating our own market for recycled goods,” said Brad Rosenheim, executive director of the Warner Center Assn.

Rosenheim said the program will start with companies recycling only paper products, but that it will expand later to include wooden palettes, glass and plastic.
