Iraqi Dissidents Poisoned, British Doctors Say

LONDON —
British doctors said Friday that two Iraqi dissidents sent to London for emergency treatment had been poisoned by a toxic heavy metal.
Guy’s Hospital in London said tests had confirmed a diagnosis of thallium poisoning. The two men, former Iraqi army officers, are being treated with an antidote, the hospital said.
