An ‘A’ for Peltason as UC President
Jack Peltason’s appointment as president of the UC system will benefit all Californians. Peltason’s insight as a constitutional scholar gives him a special understanding of the total needs of the state at a time when so many work only for their own special interests.
Unbeknown to most, Peltason was never too busy to meet with teachers and students in the high schools to improve their knowledge of our federal system. He was a builder of bridges between the university and the secondary schools.
It is refreshing as a K-12 teacher to know that we have a partner rather than an adversary in solving our state’s many problems.
