Bo Jackson’s mother, Florence Jackson Bond, died in Bessemer, Ala. A spokeswoman said that Jackson had requested that no details be revealed.

Jackson is undergoing rehabilitation from hip replacement surgery necessitated by an injury received while playing for the Raiders.
